Coco Chanel collaborates with Goossens, the Parisian couture jeweller, for a new unique jewellery collection inspired by the natural world and animals, created by the brilliant designer Harumi Klossowska de Rola.

To all jewellery admirers out there, yes, you’ve read it right! This mind-blowing jewellery collection is here as Coco Chanel collaborates with Goossens. From Coco Chanel to Cristóbal Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent, Parisian couture jeweller Goossens has created brilliant Byzantine-inspired dramatic pieces for the world’s most luxurious and renowned designers, building a big name for itself that reflects uniqueness and luxury since 1950.

Today, Chanel collaborates with Goossens, owning the brand, and adding it to its roster of other specialised art businesses, including Maison Michel, a millinery company, and Lesage. Although Goossens is no longer an independent jeweller, they continue to create exceptionally gorgeous jewellery using their distinctive 24-carat gold-bathed brass.

Luxury At Its Peak: Chanel Collaborates With Goossens For an Unprecedented Jewellery Collection Inspired by the Natural World

When elite names like Chanel, Goossens, and Harumi Klossowska de Rola collaborate for a jewellery collection, then every woman on earth should have her eyes and heart open for something extra special! This is also another collaboration of Goossens with sculptor and jeweller Harumi Klossowska de Rola, to expand their creative menagerie of golden lions and serpents, including butterflies and dragonflies in this latest one.

If you’re an animal lover and have a taste for luxury, then this collection is definitely for you! As Klossowska de Rola has always been obsessed with the animal world, she has unleashed her talent, passion, and experience in the most beautiful way, producing a collection that speaks to the heart and soul.

As a child, Klossowska de Rola would only remember someone if they happened to own a cat or a dog. She feels a strong connection with nature, saying: “Everything related to nature is inspirational to me. It could just be a leaf or a piece of wood, but I’m particularly inspired by animals.”

The collaboration between Goossens and Klossowska de Rola was initially based on mutual respect for one another’s work. “Their craftspeople have such great know-how and I love that their pieces reveal the hands that made them,” Klossowska de Rola explains. She carved her designs in wax at her home studio in Switzerland, before passing them over to the Goossens goldsmiths to be produced in metal.

It’s All About Creating a Connection…

“I love the way a wild animal looks at you,” she says.

“As humans, we tend to want to control animals but I respect that instinctive intelligence which most tamed animals have lost.”

—Harumi Klossowska de Rola

From gigantic wolf sculptures, serpentine necklaces, and vicious yet noble wild cats in the form of rings, you can find substantial, sculptural pieces that focus on the metal itself, and its relationship with the body that wears it.

A Dramatic Statement That’s Worth All the Details, Time, and…Money!

Unlike any other piece of jewellery that catches your attention while window shopping, this is a kind of collection that would actually make you curious about every single detail it carries. For example, the mesmerising orange and blue symmetry of the Kallima Inachus butterfly’s top wing was not what piqued the designer’s interest in this collection.

Instead, she was drawn to its brown, rough underside, which resembled a dry leaf, that permits it to hide from predators by fitting in with neighbouring flora. It transforms into a dramatic statement necklace in her hands, a 3D creature that swirls with texture and can be displayed on a mantelpiece as well as worn around the neck.

A Sneak Peak of The Collection

When one of the world’s most luxurious brands, Chanel collaborates with Goossens, the haute couture jewellery master, and cooperates with an exceptional designer like Klossowska de Rola, then that’s a collection not to be missed!

The lion and the snake are the stars of this collection that comprises three lines of jewellery, all in 24-carat gilded brass, bringing to the world of design this one-of-a-kind, intense, and precious collection.
