Let’s face it, we love to see attractive people together and there are few couples who look as good and dress as well as Rihanna and ASAP Rocky. The VMAs 2012
In this throwback photo from the 2012 VMAs, when the artists first collaborated and before they were officially together, their fashion choices reflect their aesthetics at the time: gritty yet refined in a way that only ASAP and Rihanna can provide.
Rihanna opened the awards show in a red dress designed by Adam Selman and Balenciaga leather trousers. ASAP appeared mid-performance to rap in a long black shirt with leather details, black shorts, and a black cap worn backwards.
Fashion Killa Video 2013
Channelling early 2010s hypebeasts, Rihanna and ASAP are wearing the Supreme’s latest pieces in the opening of the video and continue to kill it throughout. ASAP wears Dior Homme, Saint Laurent, and Visvim pieces, while RiRi sports a zebra print Tom Ford dress and Christian Louboutin’s. ASAP told 106 & Park that Rihanna “she’s a “Fashion Killa” in my eyes.”
The Fashion Awards 2019
Regardless of the event, the couple are known for making a statement. Before they even confirmed their relationship the two were matching like pros in full Fenty fits with satin accents for their Fashion Awards ensembles in 2019. Rihanna wore mint green and ASAP was in head-to-toe black. In a GQ interview last year, the rapper even stated that this was his favourite look Rihanna has ever worn.
Fenty Skin Campaign 2020
Rihanna’s Fenty Skin collection, which debuted in July 2020, was one of the most recent additions to her Fenty brand empire, which also includes makeup and underwear. The official campaign included ASAP Rocky and Lil Nas X, among others. Here she’s paired with Rocky, who’s wearing pearl bracelets and gold grills, matching RiRi’s gold accessories, but the most significant thing about both of them here is, of course, their radiant skin.
On Set of ASAP Rocky’s Music Video 2021
In July of this year, the dynamic duo were spotted on the set of the rapper’s music video. The two coordinated complementary looks featuring bright neon furs in the form of a trapper hat for him and a cropped jacket for her.
The Met Gala 2021
Rihanna and Rocky were fashionably late for their first Met Gala appearance as a couple this year, but it was well worth the wait. Rocky debuted in a colossal quilted jacket modelled after an item from ERL’s Spring 2022 collection.
Eli Russell Linnetz, according to The New York Times, fashioned a suit for Rocky out of fabric scraps, vintage quilts, and even his father’s bathrobe. Rihanna stunned in a blanketed and oversized Balenciaga gown designed by Demna Gvasalia.
