February 8, 2022 Share

The nominations for the 94th Academy Awards are officially out – we now know who will be in with a chance to win the most sought-after prizes in the film industry.

Jane Campion’s troubled western The Power of the Dog leads the way with 12 nominations, while big-budget sci-fi Dune is up for ten. Belfast and West Side Story come in at joint third with seven each.

The announcement marks an incredible award season for Campion, Cumberbatch and co., as The Power of the Dog sweeps the board at the Oscar nominations, likely to secure at least one of the biggest prizes.
