Tobey Maguire married Jennifer Meyer in Kona in 2007; nineteen years later, weeks after their divorce finally closed, he stood at Four Seasons Lanai and married her to a billionaire’s son.
Jennifer Meyer, speaking on The Inside Edit podcast in an appearance reported in December 2025, offered this about her ex-husband and her fiancé: “The cutest part is Tobey and my fiancé, Geoff, love each other so much.” She said it ten months before Maguire performed her second wedding ceremony. The line read, at the time, as the sort of thing people say about a blended family to end a conversation politely. It turned out to be scheduling.
2003
Meyer met Tobey Maguire on the set of Seabiscuit. She was already Hollywood-adjacent by birth: her father is Ron Meyer, co-founder of the Creative Artists Agency and later vice chairman of NBCUniversal, a career that put his daughter in rooms most jewellery designers reach through a publicist. In 2005 she launched Jennifer Meyer Jewelry, worn over the following two decades by Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson, which is the kind of client list that does not come from a trade fair. Celebrity Net Worth, which cites no filings, puts Ron Meyer at around $300 million. On his daughter’s own fortune no serious outlet has put a figure, and the estimates that circulate contradict each other by a factor of two.
Hudson, nineteen years on, would be on the guest list.
September 2007
They married in Kona, on the Big Island. Fox News reported at the time that Maguire’s publicist confirmed the ceremony, which had taken place that Monday, in Hawaii, with the usual absence of detail that attends a wedding nobody is meant to photograph. Their daughter Ruby came first, then their son Otis.
The location is the part to hold on to. Meyer has now been married twice, both times in Hawaii, on two different islands, with a nineteen-year gap and the same man present at both.
2016
They separated after nine years of marriage. The joint statement they gave PEOPLE said their first priority remained raising their children together, which is the standard formula and, unusually, turned out to be load-bearing.
Then the legal machinery went quiet for a very long time. Meyer filed for divorce in 2020. Maguire filed his response in July 2025, five years later. Nothing in the record suggests acrimony; the delay simply sat there, two people who had stopped being married in every sense except the one the state of California tracks. Couples in open warfare tend to move faster than that, because lawyers bill for momentum. This was the opposite condition, a file nobody had any urgent reason to close.
Summer 2023
Meyer was first linked to Geoff Ogunlesi, a music executive then in his early thirties. He worked in the artists and repertoire division at 300 Entertainment from January 2014 to October 2022, per Face2Face Africa, before founding The Ogunlesi Group, a Hollywood-based entertainment and music management company. His roster has included Young Thug, charlieonnafriday and the Tony-winning Myles Frost, a spread that runs from Atlanta rap to Broadway and suggests a man building his own thing rather than inheriting one.
That November, Meyer and Ogunlesi made their red carpet debut at the Baby2Baby Gala, which in Los Angeles is roughly the equivalent of an announcement in the court circular.
January 2024
The relevant fortune is his father’s. BlackRock agreed to buy Global Infrastructure Partners, the firm Adebayo Ogunlesi co-founded in 2006, in a deal worth $12.5 billion, with GIP managing more than $100 billion in assets before the sale. The structure was about $3 billion in cash and roughly 12 million BlackRock shares worth $9.5 billion, the largest acquisition the asset manager had made in more than a decade.
Adebayo Ogunlesi’s own stake was estimated at 17.5 per cent by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index at the time of the announcement, an estimate rather than a disclosed shareholding. Billionaires Africa reported he took $600 million in cash and 1.82 million BlackRock shares out of the transaction, the share portion mattering rather more than the cash in the years since. Forbes puts him at $2.6 billion as of 11 October 2026, number 88 on its 2026 list of America’s Richest Immigrants, and notes he remains chairman and managing partner of GIP while serving as a senior managing director at BlackRock.
He began as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, then went into banking at First Boston and Goldman Sachs. Airports, pipelines and ports, in other words, rather than scripts.
31 August 2024
Meyer announced the engagement on Instagram with a photograph of the two of them beside a restaurant table of candles and flowers. To a commenter asking whether she had any idea, she replied: “It was alllll him! Total surprise.”
One Nigerian tabloid reported the ring cost $500,000. No other outlet has corroborated that figure, and nobody connected to either family has confirmed it, so it belongs in the same drawer as most ring valuations.
December 2025
The podcast appearance came first, with Meyer describing her divorce as one of her greatest teachers and her ex-husband as her best friend. On 19 December she announced on Instagram that she was expecting her third child, her first with Ogunlesi. She was 48.
The sequence matters only because of what it reveals about the paperwork: she was pregnant by her fiancé and still, in the eyes of a Los Angeles court, married to someone else.
June 2026
The baby girl arrived in May. Meyer shared the news publicly on Father’s Day, 21 June, posting a photograph of Ogunlesi holding their newborn and writing that she loved him the most. The child is his first and her third.
Speaking to PEOPLE the month before the birth, she said: “It’s a little more exhausting at this stage, but I feel amazing.” In the same interview she described the friendship between her son and her fiancé, which is the detail that explains the following October better than any guest list does.
Late September into October 2026
The divorce closed, finally, weeks before the wedding. Here the record splits: one account has the pair restoring their status as single persons on 21 September, nearly ten years after the 2016 separation, while Us Weekly reported a court filing dated 1 October that terminated the marital status. No court document has been produced publicly to settle which date is the operative one.
Either way, the arithmetic is the same. Fewer than three weeks separated the end of one marriage from the start of the next, with the same man at the centre of both, and on the second occasion he was holding the licence rather than signing it.
10 October 2026
They married in an outdoor ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, with Maguire officiating. Meyer wore a strapless white ballgown with a sweeping veil; Ogunlesi wore a black tuxedo. Page Six reported that Mindy Weiss organised the celebration, a credit no other outlet has independently confirmed and which the planner has not addressed publicly.
The confirmed guests ran to Leonardo DiCaprio with Vittoria Ceretti, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, Courteney Cox, Kate Hudson with Danny Fujikawa, and Rachel Zoe. The full list has never been published, and whether Jennifer Aniston was there remains unconfirmed, which has not stopped anyone guessing.
Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17, took part in the celebration. So did their five-month-old half-sister, whose grandfather sold an infrastructure firm to BlackRock for $12.5 billion and whose other grandfather built CAA.
Maguire did the pronouncing.
