‘It Was All Him’: Four Seasons Lanai and the Ogunlesi Wedding

October 11, 2026•Share

Eight days after a Los Angeles judge finalised her divorce from Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Meyer was reported set to marry Geoff Ogunlesi, whose father sold the firm that owned Gatwick to BlackRock for $12.5 billion.

The Los Angeles Superior Court docket is not a romantic document. It records that the marital status of Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire was terminated on 21 September 2026, that the final dissolution judgment was entered on 1 October, and that other legal matters between them are to be resolved separately. A marriage that began on a beach in 2007, and a relationship that began in 2003, closed with the administrative shrug of a parking appeal.

Eight days after that entry, Page Six reported that Meyer, the jeweller, was set to marry Geoff Ogunlesi at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, with Mindy Weiss producing the weekend. The couple have been engaged for more than two years: she is 49, he is 34, and the reporting on the gap wobbles between fourteen and fifteen years depending on which outlet does the arithmetic. He is a music executive who has worked for Warner Music Group and for Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment, and now runs his own management company, the Ogunlesi Group. His father built the firm that owned Gatwick.

Kona, and the first island

Hawaii is not new territory. Meyer and Maguire married in Kona on the Big Island on 3 September 2007, a Monday, with the news confirmed by his publicist rather than by either of them. They announced their separation in October 2016. They have a daughter of 19 and a son of 17, and the paperwork, as the court record shows, took another decade to finish.

Lanai is a different island, a different resort, and, by every account of it, a different register. Meyer has been widely quoted — in reports that attribute the remark to People — as saying that Ogunlesi and Maguire are fond of each other and that this is why the arrangement functions, a line that has been recycled through every rewrite of the story since Page Six published; DDW has not been able to trace the quote to the original People interview.

A stylist’s pick on The Break-Up

The business that carries her name began as a prop. A stylist chose one of her leaf pendants for Jennifer Aniston to wear in The Break-Up, which turned a private hobby into a label stocked by Barneys New York and Net-a-Porter. In 2015 she designed the wedding ring for Aniston’s marriage to Justin Theroux, which is roughly the Hollywood equivalent of being asked to do the flowers at Chatsworth.

What the label is worth is not public. No serious outlet has put a figure on Jennifer Meyer Jewelry, and no filing exists to argue with. The fortunes in this story belong to the fathers.

The Baby2Baby carpet, and the comment that did the rounds

Meyer and Ogunlesi were first linked in the summer of 2023 and made their red carpet debut at the Baby2Baby Gala that November. She announced the engagement herself on 31 August 2024, with a photograph of the two of them beside a candlelit restaurant table and a caption of three characters and three exclamation marks. When a friend, Bianca Gates, asked in the comments about the ring, Meyer replied, as E! Online reported at the time, “It was all him.”

A jeweller letting someone else choose the ring is either a great romance or a great act of restraint, and the internet enjoyed it either way.

In December 2025 she announced that she was pregnant. On Father’s Day, 21 June 2026, she posted a photograph of Ogunlesi holding their newborn daughter: his first child, her third.

Gatwick, Edinburgh and a $12.5 billion exit

The groom’s father is Adebayo Ogunlesi, the Nigerian-born lawyer and investment banker who founded Global Infrastructure Partners and built it into the largest independent infrastructure manager in the business, overseeing more than $100 billion of assets, according to Billionaires Africa. The portfolio included Gatwick and Edinburgh airports. The man who ended up owning the queue at the South Terminal is not a name most British travellers could pick out of a line-up.

In 2024 BlackRock agreed to buy GIP for about $12.5 billion, with The Cable reporting the structure as $3 billion in cash and 12 million BlackRock shares valued at $9.5 billion, and five of the six founding partners, Ogunlesi among them, moving across. He joined the BlackRock board as part of the deal. Billionaires Africa reported that Ogunlesi personally received 1,822,926 BlackRock shares and $600 million in cash, which is an unusually precise number for a story everyone else was covering in round billions.

That shareholding is now the fortune, which means the fortune moves with the ticker. The same outlet reported that a BlackRock slide in March 2025 took $100 million off his paper worth, and that by August 2025 he was up $800 million on the year at an estimated $2.5 billion. Later trackers put him in the $2.4 to $2.5 billion range. These are estimates assembled by index desks, not audited disclosures, and the exact scale of his current BlackRock holding is a matter for the company’s own filings rather than for a wedding report.

Universal, and the twenty-five-year run

The bride’s father is Ron Meyer, who co-founded CAA in 1974, left in 1995 to run Universal Studios, and stayed at the top of the building for a quarter of a century, one of the longest executive tenures the industry has produced. Celebrity Net Worth, an aggregator rather than a filing, estimates him at $300 million; Variety reported his last NBCUniversal deal at a $25 million salary, with a contract due to run to 2021, and an exit payout in the region of $20 million.

The run ended in August 2020. Meyer resigned as vice chairman of NBCUniversal after telling his family and the company, in a statement reported by Variety, that he had made a settlement, under threat, with a woman outside the company who, he contended, had made false accusations against him, describing a brief and consensual affair many years earlier. That characterisation is his own and has not been tested.

Two sets of parents, then, two very different kinds of paper: one fortune made in talent commissions and studio lots, the other in airports and toll roads, and both now attached to a baby born in June.

Lanai, this weekend

The resort is the Four Seasons on Lanai. The planner, according to the reporting, is Mindy Weiss, whose client list has taken in the Kardashians and the Biebers and who does not get hired for quiet garden parties. The buzz before the weekend, per the same reports, had Leonardo DiCaprio, long one of Maguire’s closest friends, expected on the island, along with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez. None of their attendance has been confirmed by anybody, and neither has the ceremony itself: every version of this story traces back to a single Page Six exclusive and the word “reportedly”.

No prenuptial arrangement has been reported. No guest list has been published. The couple have said nothing since the engagement caption, and the fathers, who between them have handled a studio, an agency and a $12.5 billion sale, have said less.

Her first wedding was confirmed by a publicist, on a Monday, in Kona. This one, so far, has been confirmed by nobody at all.
