Any celebrity infused event is a great opportunity to play dress-up. Although the MET Gala may be The fashion runway of celebrity events, the Grammy Awards are an equally good opportunity for performers to put on their diamond earrings in the hopes of making front news. Alas, as we sit in our post-grammy hangover, lets reminisce about the award show’s best dressed.
Lizzo in Dolce & Gabbana
It’s bad bitch o’clock and Lizzo is rocking it. In an exuberant orange garment, the pop-singer turned heads. Very spring-inspired, the dress felt regal with its fanning cape, which in turn complimented Lizzo’s wistful makeup look.
Doja Cat in Atelier Versace
Listen, Doja Cat‘s schedule is a busy one. It was only last week that we were seeing her headlining time after time at Paris Haute Couture Week. Having lived the mayhem of fashion week first hand, we can tell you this much; it’s exhausting. Now she’s at the Grammy’s wearing none other than a dark and mysterious Versace that gives her an uncanny cat-woman resemblance.
Anitta in Vintage Versace + Tiffany Jewellery
Also in black, Brazilian singer Anitta rocked a vintage Versace dress with an accentuating body and mermaid-like hem. Intricate yet mysterious, the dress fit Anitta like a glove, and she was quick to compliment it with some remarkable Tiffany jewellery in the form of a statement necklace and shimmering earrings.
Cardi B in Gaurav Gupta
Cardi B is dramatic and so was her sculptural Gaurav Gupta dress in electric royal blue. Love it or hate it, it must’ve been a commitment to try and sit down with those swirling dress elements, so hats off to you, Cardi, for pulling this off at the Grammy Awards.
Megan Fox in Zuhair Murad
We’re yet to see something Megan Fox doesn’t look good wearing, and the Grammy’s was not an exception. Dressed in a bedazzled Zuhair Murad piece, she and Machine Gun Kelly (dressed in Dolce & Gabbana) ‘punked’ their way through the grammy’s as a striking duo, as they often do.
Beyoncé in Gucci
Beyoncé is on fire (as she always is, lets be real). For the Grammy’s her look was impeccable, sculptural ruffles adorning a vertiginous leg slit and fanning out in a mermaid tail. Her hair, tamed in volume but long and luscious fell down to her back, and granted queen B an ethereal delicate touch for the Grammy Awards.
