Harry Styles is heading back to the big screen. This thriller is set to fully catapult him into the acting world. Olivia Wilde, director of the movie Don’t Worry Darling, released the teaser in September 2021.

Styles is an English singer, songwriter and actor. His musical career began in 2010 on the British music competition series The X Factor

Following his elimination early on, he was brought back to join the boy band One Direction, which went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.

However, he decided to go solo and released his debut self-titled solo album through Columbia Records in 2017.

It debuted at number one in the UK and the US and became one of the world’s top ten best-selling albums of the year.

Currently, the star is on tour, which he had to readjust due to Covid. His Love On Tour began on 4 September and is due to end on 20 October  2021

“Love on Tour will be going out across the USA this September and I am so excited for these shows. As always, the well-being of my fans, band, and crew is my top priority” – Harry Styles

However, a few days ago the “Watermelon Sugar” singer was seen in a teaser on Olivia Wilde’s Instagram story, which showed Harry Styles sharing an intimate moment with his co-star Florence Pugh.

This was our official taste for his new co-starring role in Don’t Worry Darling.

The short clip included Styles and Pugh sharing a passionate kiss. There were also scenes where the Black Widow star was seen sitting poolside with a drink which transitioned into her screaming with plastic wrap around her head.

According to BAZAAR, the former One Direction member replaced Shia LaBeouf, who had to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Details of the plot are still under wraps, but the film is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert, as told by Olivia Wilde.

Production has already begun but hit a temporary shutdown due to the pandemic.

What we do know, however, is that the movie is set to be released on 23 September 2022.

Don’t Worry Darling centres around a 1950’s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community who begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.

Wilde, in addition to directing and producing the film, also stars with Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Sydney Chandler and Nick Kroll.

Olivia Wilde, who is now dating the “Fine Line” singer, praised his acting skills after working with him on Don’t Worry Darling and expressed her gratitude to Styles on her Instagram:

“He didn’t have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace and blew us away every day with his talent.” – Olivia Wilde

This is not Harry Styles’ first-ever appearance in the film industry. In fact, it’s his third. It also wasn’t the only film that he wrapped up this year.

After making his big-screen acting debut in 2017’s Dunkirk, with director Christopher Nolan, and wrapping Don’t Worry Darling in February 2021, the singer is hard at work on his next film, My Policeman.

Styles finished filming his star role in My Policeman at Venice.

As of June 2021, filming for My Policeman wrapped, with director Michael Grandage revealing the news on Instagram by sharing a photo of himself alongside Styles and actor, David Dawson.

Based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts, My Policeman is a period piece that takes place in both the 1950s and 1990s.

Styles plays young Tom, while Linus Roache will take on the role for the later years of the story.

My Policeman doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date but we can expect to see the film in 2022.

It seems this multi-talented artist has no plans for slowing things down any time soon.

With two new movies on the horizon, Harry Styles’ career is definitely reaching new heights.

“A dream is only a dream…until you decide to make it real” – Harry Styles
