The locations aim to bring together “local rituals, indigenous ingredients and a modern approach”.

Aman is running a variety of ultra-luxurious wellness retreats at its properties around the world this year.

The high-end hotel company has set out a 2022 wellness programme that includes visiting specialists, the return of “integrated medical services” at the Amanpuri in Thailand, and several treatments able to deliver “fast and visible results”, aimed at those seeking an “instant” transformation.

Aman’s flagship property and home to the brand’s first Holistic Wellness Centre, Amanpuri is well known amongst elite hotel circles and held in sky-high regard by those who have visited. It has been providing guests with a dose of blissful Thai tranquillity for the last three decades, and the resort’s Intensive immersions therapy officially resumed in January 2022.

Guests looking to experience Intensive Immersions will first take part in a medical consultation using biomarkers to assess the body’s response to treatment for illness, alongside an evaluation of biological age and tests for Sirtuin protein levels.

Investigation of the results, plus detailed discussions about lifestyle and personal goals, create a bespoke programme of medical treatments along with a tailored nutrition plan, personalised private movement sessions, and specialised therapies and spa treatments. Lasting five nights or more, the immersions aim to put the guest on a pathway toward a better self.

Available from May 9 to June 26, 2022, the Immune Health and Optimisation programme at Aman’s property in Utah will incorporate moderate exercise, mindfulness techniques and a combination of Western breath and cold therapy to help improve the body’s natural defences.

Renowned yoga instructor Ryan Bean will lead the retreat that is available to book for no fewer than three nights. The cold emersion therapy is Wim Hof-certified and daily wellness activities include Vinyasa and Bodokon yoga, cold therapy and Thai massage in the scorching desert confines of the Amangiri resort.

A new edition to the Aman property roster in 2022 – The Ayurshala Centre in Aman’s Rajasthan location is a purpose-built medicinal pharmacy where Ayurvedic medicine is prescribed and prepared for guests using ingredients grown on-site.

This is a place where guests can gain insight into the practices of Ayurveda Apothecary – one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems. Lasting for a minimum of four nights, a retreat here begins with a consultation with Amanbagh’s in-house Ayurveda physician and a tour of the Ayurvedic garden, where guests are introduced to over 200 medicinal plants used in traditional recipes.

The Ayurshala Centre will then be the location of programmes like daily movement sessions and group Yoga classes and meditations, with three healthy meals a day provided.
