> “Prince George is estimated at a net worth of $3 billion and Prince Louis is estimated between $70 million and $125 million… Princess Charlotte, however, takes the cake from the entire family with a whopping $5 billion”
Every list of the richest children on earth is, eventually, a paraphrase of that paragraph. Newsweek traced the TikTok figures for Princess Charlotte’s net worth back to a Reader’s Digest article that set out to give real numbers for the royals and found, in the magazine’s own account, little concrete information publicly available. The numbers went out anyway. They have been recycled ever since by people who did not check, and they are now quoted back at the family as though a probate registry had confirmed them.
The category is enormous and permanently in season. New “Top 10 Richest Kids in the World 2026” videos and posts appeared in March, May, June, July and August of this year, none of them pegged to anything that happened. The one hard annual data point in the same territory is Forbes’ World’s Youngest Billionaires, published on 10 March 2026 and built on wealth data as of 1 March 2026. Not one person on it is a child.
How do you count a child’s fortune?
Three constraints, and they do most of the work. A figure appears here only if a named organisation published it, which excludes the aggregator arithmetic that powers most of the genre. Earnings are not net worth: a year of income is a flow, a fortune is a stock, and conflating the two is how a ten-year-old ends up “worth” three years of gross revenue. And where nobody credible has published a number, the honest output is silence rather than a plausible-looking estimate.
That leaves Forbes’ 2026 list as the spine. It counted a record 35 billionaires under the age of 30, worth $92.4 billion between them, with a record 12 of them self-made. Under-18s do not feature, because trusts, holding structures and unvested inheritances are not the same thing as ownership, and Forbes will not certify what it cannot see. Almost everyone selling you a toddler’s net worth will.
Who is the youngest billionaire in the world in 2026?
Amelie Voigt Trejes, aged 20, a newcomer to the list and an heir to WEG, the Brazilian industrial machinery giant. Forbes names her the world’s youngest billionaire on the 2026 ranking.
Note what she is heir to. Not a streaming platform, not a beauty brand, not a football contract. Electric motors, drives and industrial automation out of Santa Catarina. The youngest ten-figure fortune on the planet was built by people selling equipment to factories, which is the least screenshot-friendly origin story imaginable and, for that reason, the most instructive.
Who are Clemente and Luca Del Vecchio?
The two names at the top of the young-money table. According to a Voronoi presentation of the Forbes data, the highest net worths among the under-30 billionaires belong to the Del Vecchio brothers, heirs to the EssilorLuxottica eyewear empire. The precise figure for the brothers is not one I can attribute to a named source, so it stays out.
On how Clemente arrived there, the record is thinner than the internet suggests. A databoks summary of Forbes’ figures reported that he became a young billionaire following the death of Leonardo Del Vecchio in June 2022, and was subsequently appointed the youngest heir to the family company, Luxottica. That single account has not been corroborated elsewhere in this research, and the exact age at inheritance is not established, which is worth saying out loud given how often that particular date is presented as settled.
What is not in dispute is the shape of it. Sunglasses, prescription lenses, Ray-Ban, Oakley, the optical chain on your local high street: one of the great unglamorous consumer monopolies, and the youngest large fortune in Europe sits on top of it.
Are the von Baumbach siblings each worth $6.6 billion?
That is the figure in the Voronoi breakdown of the Forbes list: four von Baumbach siblings from Germany, each worth approximately $6.6 billion, close behind the Del Vecchios, as heirs to Boehringer Ingelheim.
Boehringer Ingelheim is privately held, which is why the family is unfamiliar to people who can name every Kardashian. Four siblings, one pharmaceutical group, a combined figure that dwarfs anything in the influencer column, and no public profile to speak of. The quietest entry on the list is the largest cluster of money on it.
Is Princess Charlotte the richest child in the world?
Forbes does not publish a net worth for her. The point is worth stating plainly, because the $5 billion claim has been attached to her name for years: her finances form part of private royal family arrangements that are not disclosed in detail, and no official figure exists to cite.
Nor is there a document to check. Royal wills are not made public in Britain, which means it is not possible to establish whether Charlotte inherited anything on the deaths of Prince Philip or Queen Elizabeth II. The absence of a will in the public record is precisely the vacuum the $5 billion figure filled.
She turned 11 on 2 May 2026, having been born on 2 May 2015. Her elder brother George is second in line to the throne, and if you want the version of royal money that can actually be sourced, the named figures behind Europe’s young heirs are a better use of your time than a decade-old magazine estimate. Most of them, it turns out, have no named source either.
How much has Ryan Kaji actually earned from Ryan’s World?
Here the numbers are real, and they are earnings rather than wealth. Ryan Kaji, born on 6 October 2011 in Texas to Shion and Loann Kaji, was the world’s highest-paid YouTube personality for three consecutive years from 2018, taking $22 million, $26 million and $29.5 million in those respective annual periods, as tracked by Forbes. Richestubers reports that his channel took off when he was six, making him the youngest person ever to appear on a Forbes top-earners list.
Those three sums are gross annual income before tax, before the production company, before the parents, before the toy-line partners, and before whatever a family in Texas spends on being a small media business. Nobody publishes a certified net worth for him, and adding the three figures together does not produce one. That is the arithmetic the listicles perform, and it is the reason a child is routinely described as being worth $77.5 million.
Three years at the top of the highest-paid list is a genuine achievement in a medium with no barriers and no mercy. It is also a salary, and salaries are spent.
What are Blue Ivy Carter and North West worth?
Nothing that can be sourced, which is the answer nobody wants.
Blue Ivy Carter was born in Manhattan on 7 January 2012. Two days later she had a credited vocal appearance on Jay-Z’s chart-topping single “Glory”, making her the youngest person ever to appear on the Billboard chart, a record that still stands. In 2019 Forbes named her father the world’s first billionaire rapper. Her mother is Beyoncé. None of that produces a published figure for the daughter, because a parent’s balance sheet is not a child’s.
North West, born on 15 June 2013 to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, occupies the same position: enormous proximity to money, no verifiable ownership of it. The lists treat the two girls as heiresses with figures attached. What they actually have is access, which is more valuable than most of the numbers being invented for them and considerably harder to quantify.
So who is the richest kid in the world in 2026?
On the evidence a named organisation will stand behind, nobody. Forbes’ 2026 ranking of the 35 billionaires under 30 begins at 20 years old with Amelie Voigt Trejes, and the largest young fortunes on it, per Voronoi’s reading of the data, sit with the Del Vecchio brothers and the four von Baumbach siblings at roughly $6.6 billion apiece. Every child on every other list is either an earner whose income has been mistaken for a fortune, or an heir to a structure that has not yet paid out, or Princess Charlotte, who is worth whatever a magazine guessed in an article that admitted it was guessing.
The next question is usually whether the real figures are simply hidden. Partly. Boehringer Ingelheim is private, WEG’s family holdings are not itemised for the public, and royal wills in Britain are sealed as a matter of course. The difference is that a private company still has to file accounts somewhere, whereas the $5 billion belonging to an eleven-year-old in Windsor exists only in the places it has been copied to.
Which is why the honest ranking is short, German, Brazilian and Italian, and starts at 20.
