$640,000 came off the asking price before Travis Kelce signed for a Gilded Age house on Lake Erie, four months before he married a woman Forbes valued at $2 billion.
The seller had already cut from $6.99 million to $5.99 million. Kelce paid $5.35 million, which works out at 11 per cent under the reduced ask and 24 per cent under the original, according to a pricing breakdown by brokerage PCRE. The Wall Street Journal found the transaction in property records and published it in early September 2026, by which point the buyer had been married for two months and the coverage had rearranged itself accordingly.
A Few Miles Down the Shore From Cleveland Heights
Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights, followed his brother Jason to the University of Cincinnati, and was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 draft. $1.95m in 2023, $5.35m in 2026
The seller was Figurati Construction Group, the Northeast Ohio firm owned by Gary Pellegrino, which had bought the distressed estate for $1.95 million in 2023 and spent the following period restoring it. The renovated house first hit the market in 2024 at $6.99 million. It sat. The price came down. Then a buyer with an estimated nine-figure podcast deal in his pocket closed on 2 March 2026 at $5.35 million.
David Ayers and Nick Zawitz of The Agency Cleveland brokered the sale and gave the Journal a statement about being thrilled for the new owners. Renovation flips are priced for the buyer who falls in love in the entrance hall. Kelce, per the Journal’s account of the negotiation, was not that buyer.
Everyone involved did well. Figurati bought a wreck, restored a landmark and sold it for nearly three times what it paid. The village got a record. And the man who grew up nearby paid a number he chose rather than the number printed on the sign.

TMZ reported that Kelce was the only person who purchased the property, a claim that rests on that single outlet. On the question of a prenuptial agreement, the New York Times reported that Swift’s financial group declined to comment, while experts told the paper such an agreement was “almost certain”. Neither party has confirmed anything. What is on the public record is a deed, a date and a price.
Madison Square Garden and 1,000 Guests
The engagement was announced on Instagram on 26 August 2025, with Swift’s caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The wedding took place on 3 July 2026 at Madison Square Garden, in front of around 1,000 guests including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Paul McCartney. A Minority Slice of the Cleveland Guardians
