Sir Richard Branson is set to open the Son Bunyola Estate, part of the Virgin Limited Edition, which currently oversees seven high-end retreats across the globe.
Billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition has announced it is building a new luxury hotel in Spain.
Sir Richard Branson’s new Mallorca hotel has begun to turn heads after construction transformed the property back in 2021, which was smashed by storms last summer.
However, today it has turned into a luxury destination of note. Images on the site show the Son Bunyola Estate, set amid vineyards, citrus, and olive trees on the island’s north side. The new luxury hotel set to open in the summer of 2023 is part of the 810-acre estate, which sits within the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains.

The hotel, named the Son Bunyola Hotel, is based around an existing farming manor dating back to the 15th century. The Son Bunyola Hotel boasts original, charming features and will comprise 28 rooms, two restaurants, dining terraces, a swimming pool, and lounges.
Additionally, three stand-alone villas on the estate offer three or four bedrooms and greater privacy. The 71-year-old has said he wants to build the most luxurious hotel in the Mediterranean and plans to bring the beautiful historic New York building back to life.

Son Bunyola Estate will be Virgin Limited Edition’s first venture in Spain. The group’s other retreats include Morocco’s Kasbah Tamadot and the Caribbean’s Moskito and Necker Islands – the latter of which Branson calls home.
Reservations for Son Bunyola Estate’s hotel will open later this year.
