Rihanna is a mom! According to reports, the superstar welcomed a baby boy with A$AP Rocky on May 13 in Los Angeles.
This is the first child for both Rihanna and A$AP, who have been romantically linked for two years. As of yet, the baby’s name is unknown, and his parents have not released a statement.
People confirmed that Rihanna has welcomed her new baby. A source close to the couple said that the parents are now home in Los Angeles with him. The source revealed: “Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom.”
In January, the singer and Fenty mogul revealed that she was expecting her first child with Rocky after being photographed debuting her baby bump in Harlem, New York. During her pregnancy, the first-time mother showcased iconic maternity looks that redefined what it meant to be expecting in the public eye. She spent the past few months elevating maternity style by sporting an array of runway-ready looks at fashion weeks, photo shoots and on the streets of New York City.
In an April cover story for Vogue, the pop star bared her baby bump and her approach to pregnancy, saying: “I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women. My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”
Congrats are in order for the new parents, who recently starred together in the video for Rocky’s new song “D.M.B.” The music video soon sparked speculation about the couple’s engagement. This, however, was later reported to have been false news.
