DETROIT rapper Eminem dropped a surprise new line of merchandise last week as part of his Black Friday collection.
The drop consisted of hoodies and t-shirts adorned with the memorable phrase Mom’s Spaghetti, which has been heavily memed ever since Eminem released the song Lose Yourself in 2002. One of Eminem’s most recognisable hits, it went on to spend 12 weeks at number one and was listed as the 28th greatest rap song of all time by Rolling Stone.
Mom’s Spaghetti also happens to be the name of Eminem’s restaurant in Detroit, which opened in October earlier this year and went viral immediately. Slim Shady was there himself to serve the first ten customers, with queues snaking around the block several times by the time it opened.
Within the merch drop, three pieces feature black-on-black graphic design including the restaurant logo and a graphic that includes a diner waitress on the back and the address of the restaurant.
The drop also included three physical versions of Eminem’s NFT Shady Con action figures that were launched back in April with NiftyGateway.
One figure is modelled off the rapper’s 2000 performance at Experience Music Project, while another sports a hockey mask and chainsaw costume for a show at Meadowlands Arena. The final figure is of Eminem as B-Rabbit, which will be familiar to anyone who watched the 2002 movie 8 Mile.
Each action figure is priced at $35 USD and will be expected to ship by January 14, 2022. As for the apparel, the prices range from $30 USD to $50 USD and will ship by December 3. Check out the full collection at Eminem’s official website.
