FWRD, a luxury fashion brand, recently announced that supermodel, Kendall Jenner, has been appointed as the official Creative Director 2021.
More commonly known as FORWARD, the star was given her career role on 1 September this year. Kendall Jenner will start her new job, which will also involve brand activations and marketing, during the New York Fashion Week. This will officially begin today, on 8 September 2021.
From fashion legends to contemporary designers striving to make their mark on the fashion industry, NYC is full of talented fashion experts revolutionising the industry.
The official NYFW calendar runs from Sept. 8 to Sept. 12.
A particular focus will be championing emerging and independent designers, hoping to give them a boost while also keeping FWRD at the forefront of global trends.
In an interview with Vogue, the star explained:
“I hope, in some small way, this is a chance to give more emerging creatives this kind of platform. The digital space is such an important tool for many of today’s creatives, and it’s definitely a window into the next generation of talent.”

The Revolve Group-owned site has enlisted the 25-year-old for her keen eye, announcing that she will spotlight emerging designers and trends and create curated edits for shoppers.
In her new position, according to Fashion Network, Jenner will be responsible for the platform’s overall look and feel and will be tasked with curating the brands sold on the site, as well as monthly trend edits. She will also come up with marketing ideas and oversee brand partnerships and activations.
The move is the latest feather in Jenner’s cap, following the launch of her 818 Tequila brand this summer. A media alert shared that the L.A-based influencer, who has amassed a colossal following of 186 million fans on Instagram.
