Calvin Klein unveils its sizzling ‘Let It Out’ Pride campaign featuring stunning models and a seductive collection of underwear.

London, Paris, Barcelona and many other Pride celebrations are fast approaching and Calvin Klein is not falling behind. With a saucy new launch under the name ‘Let It Out’, the brand is showing off its latest pride campaign with a lot of underwear and sensuality – but not in your usual queer multicoloured fashion.

Shot by Karim Sadli, the campaign boasts an impressive model cast, including Amandla Stenberg and Brandon Flynn. Armed with such forces, Calvin Klein has focused on a launch embracing self-expression through plenty of movement, and laughter.

The campaign video, featuring ominous lighting and a disco-like soundtrack by Born Slippy Nuxx, is primarily shot in black – which is unusual for a Pride campaign, as these often revel in the precise opposite; colour galore. The only moments the LGBTQIA+ flag pops up are in brief close-up shots, which intertwine with a sensual Flynn caught dancing, looking at himself in the mirror, and having an all-round good time. Amanda’s version is very similar; she’s filmed dancing and twirling around, letting her hair hang loose and providing an extra layer of movement to the artist’s performance.

“Let it Out” is part of a wider Calvin Klein initiative named “This is Love”, a Pride collection released in LGBTQIA+ month earlier in February this year. “This is Love” featured an update on the brand’s most iconic signature looks, introducing pops of colour and versatile garments that could be worn anywhere and by anyone.

As for what the Let it Out collection and what it actually entails, Calvin Klein has outdone itself. From pride underwear, described as “Mesh bralettes, thongs, briefs and boxers for a hint of skin. Colour-blocked logo waistbands to show off.” to graphic gradient prints, the designs are wearable, fun, and sensual.
