Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr revealed her lifestyle and eating habits in a video for Harper’s Bazaar. The 34-year-old Australian supermodel likes to keep things lean and low-carb. This means she actively avoids processed foods of any kind and does what she can to limit her intake of carbohydrates unless those carbs come from fruits and vegetables. 

Surprisingly, she also avoids caffeine. (WHAT! But how does she get up in the morning? Black coffee is still healthy and sugar-free, right?) Well, she doesn’t seem to need caffeine and prefers to get her energy boost from the nutrients in the food she eats. She likes to eat food that she enjoys which also makes her feel her best. Celery Juice!

Every morning, on an empty stomach, she drinks at least 16 ounces of organic, cold-pressed celery juice. “I feel it really helps my digestion, brain fog, and energy levels,” she explained. Regular meditation helps Miranda to stay calm and focused. “I try to meditate at least twice a day – morning & night, and sometimes during the day when I can,” she said.

Miranda follows a dry body brushing routine each morning before showering. “I find it’s the best way to help get the circulation going, remove any dead skin cells, and energise my body.”

Facial massage

Her morning and evening beauty routines include facial massage when she gently activates the muscles of her face using a facial sculptor.

For Miranda, no exercise regimen is complete unless she pays attention to her emotional state. Yoga helps her stay free and centred throughout her challenging sessions, but it isn’t always sufficient to do so. She finds that daily meditation helps her to relax and regain her focus. The 42-year-old Brazilian fashion model, Gisele Bündchen, has always managed to be a fashion icon, even after delivering her two babies. So, how does she do it? In her book Lessons, Gisele revealed that the earliest days of her modelling career involved dependence on cigarettes, cheeseburgers, coffee, and alcohol.

Despite having a fortunate metabolism, the supermodel’s mental health served as the incentive for change, and she changed to a more wholesome diet to help with her anxieties. Gisele and her husband follow a plant-based diet, involving minimal meat and dairy products and a focus on natural, fulfilling foods.

She also intermittently fasts until lunchtime two days a week and drinks a morning juice, which usually includes a mix of fresh fruits and vegetables, turmeric, ginger, and coconut milk. She usually goes for a wholefood-laden salad for lunch or a hearty soup with vegetables.

Natural beauty essentials

“In my opinion, a natural, healthy lifestyle, like drinking lots of water and sleeping at least eight hours every day is the best thing you can do for your skin. It doesn’t get more natural than that!” she mentioned.

Healthy eating & workout habits

She usually enjoys green juice, mixing an orange, grapefruit, and lemon with wheatgrass or green powder in the blender. “I make it for my son and husband. It’s very sour. It doesn’t taste good at all, but I do it because it’s healthy.” Her breakfast includes eggs and avocado, then she usually goes for fish and greens for dinner.

Salad (or a mix of salad and fries) is typically served for lunch to spice it up a little bit. She also makes sure to have healthy snacks on the go.“I always like to have mixed raw nuts with me for when I get hungry—especially when I was pregnant I was scared I wasn’t getting enough—or a banana.”

Doutzen tried to apply her mother’s routine to her children, making them follow a healthy lifestyle from a very young age. “My son didn’t have any sugar until he was 3 years old.” 

She enjoys ballet and chooses it as the main workout. “It is really nice because it keeps you long and lean,” she says. “And I can do ballet exercises anywhere.” She has also worked out a little bit during her pregnancy and encourages women to follow up with their doctors on how to exercise during pregnancy as it has great results.
