It’s no good finding something interesting under the water if you don’t have any way to get back to it. Deep Trecker’s Revolution NAV ROV uses a floating transducer to let pilots see its position on Google Maps, leave a trail to show where they’ve been, and mark points of interest. The drone itself has a carbon fiber shell and body crafted from anodized aluminum and stainless steel, with a 260-degree revolving head that can rotate the sonar, 4K camera, and grabber arm as needed. It can reach depths of 1,000 feet thanks to six powerful thrusters β€” two vertical and four horizontal β€” and has quick-change batteries that last up to eight hours per charge.
