Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg departed from his Beverly Hills, Grand Beverly Park Megamansion and left a pretty price tag on the door.

Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg, former stage name Marky Mark, is an American actor, producer, businessman and former rapper.

And it’s been less than ten years since Mark Wahlberg’s custom Beverly Hills home was completed, and the actor is already preparing to move out. According to Dirt, Wahlberg has listed the property for $87 million – a massive price tag for an equally huge 30,500 square-foot home that sits on a 6.2-acre land parcel.

The grand chateau-style home contains 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms spread between the main house, a separate guesthouse, a pool cabana, and a viewing pavilion next to the sports court.

Built-in 2014 by architect Richard Landry, the home looks like it would fit just as easily in the French countryside as it does in the Beverly Park gated community. The colossal beast of a house, custom-built by Marky Mark and his longtime wife Rhea Durham for their family.

It is arguably California’s most famous architect of steroidal mega-homes. Front doors open to a double-height room with custom millwork that adds dimension and a sweeping staircase that flaunts intricate iron balusters.

Most rooms are topped with coffered ceilings, and a fireplace is available in innumerable rooms, even in one of the bathrooms. The primary suite offers a living and sleeping area, plus a spacious balcony that looks out on the sprawling backyard. There are two extra-large walk-in closets (one of which has two island-like storage areas) and two similarly roomy bathrooms, each with its deep soak tub.

There’s a long list of recreation amenities outback, including a five-hole golf course, a sports court, a skate park and a grotto pool with a lounge area surrounding a fireplace perched on top. One thing the property lacks, despite its location high in the mountains above Beverly Hills, are views of city lights, but the acres of land probably make up for that omission.

The A-lister’s manse is being represented by Kurt Rappaport at the Westside Estate Agency. The brokerage has called the sale “a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the great estates in Los Angeles.”

Given the compound’s size, the buyer would have a lot of privacy to enjoy, but they’d also be in pretty good company: new neighbours would include the likes of Denzel Washington, Justin Bieber and Sofia Vergara.
