Beautiful Beaches

Cuba is filled with beautiful beaches such as Playa Los Cocos, Cuba’s best-kept secret beach. Boasting golden sands and crystal-clear blue waters, it’s the ideal beach to soak up the sun or go snorkelling and explore the stunning coral reefs.

Take a look at yachts for sale before you venture for a luxurious sailing journey to Cienfuegos, a beautiful city on Cuba’s southern coast known as ‘the pearl of the south’. Approach the coastline in your private yacht and admire the palm-lined beaches and distinctive colonial-era architecture.

Culture

Culture in Cuba is an eclectic mix of cultures, including Spanish, African and Caribbean, making it a fascinating and vibrant place to visit.

Some people say that travelling to Cuba is like going back in time and it’s true that the preservation of its historic buildings and the prevalence of classic cars on Cuba’s roads adds to the vintage ambience. When walking down Cuba’s streets, especially in Old Havana, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you may find that you have to remind yourself when and where you are in time!

The cuisine also takes inspiration from a myriad of influences, including Spain, Africa, and France, and makes the most of what nature has to offer, with tasty seafood dishes, tropical fruits and root vegetables as well as rice and beans. All washed down with a locally produced beer, rum, or strong coffee!

Stunning Scenery

Cuba is famous for its dramatic landscape and breathtaking views. As a long, narrow island, it has no shortage of beautiful, sweeping coastlines but there are also high mountains, rolling hills and rainforests to appreciate.

Cuba is known for its highest peak- Pico Turquino, located in the Gran Parque Nacional Pico Turquino. Here you’ll find hiking trails for all levels, including a challenging but popular 8km hike from Alto de Naranjo that takes you to the summit of the highest peak. The park also has lagoons and beaches and is home to a vast array of wildlife.

The Music

Cuba is well known for its vibrant live music and dancing scene, which is sure to get you in the party mood. Salsa is the most famous genre of music and dance to originate from Cuba.

Catch a performance at one of the many salsa shows or have a go yourself! Havana has some of the best nightlife in the world, with live music every night, and nightclubs to suit all tastes, whether you’re looking for a classic salsa joint or something a little more modern, you’ll be spoilt for choice in Cuba’s capital, so dress sharp, let loose and enjoy!
